Royal Baccarat

Practice your baccarat betting strategies with this fun and exciting game.

In baccarat you bet on the points of the "player" or the "banker" or a "tie" result by dragging a chip into the betting positions.
Betting on all 3 positions means that you win on one but lose your bets on the other two which means that your gain your wager on one bet position but lose your wager on the other two positions.

In some casinos you can bet that the player or banker gets dealt a pair (on points value).
If the points are less than 6 in a hand dealt then a 3rd card is dealt and that is the final result.
Casinos often deal with multiple packs (as many as 8 packs, which are often destroyed after one use) and often the exact same card is deal to the banker and player.
You could for example see the Queen of hearts dealt 6 times, 3 each to player and banker.

In Baccarat, cards have a point value: cards 2 to 9 are worth face value (in points);
10's, J's, Q's and K's have no point value (i.e. are worth zero);
Aces are worth 1 point; Jokers are not used in the game of Baccarat.
Hands are valued according to the rightmost digit of the sum of their constituent cards:
for example, a hand consisting of 2 and 3 is worth 5, but a hand consisting of 6 and 7 is worth 3 (i.e. the 3 being rightmost digit in the combined points total: 13).
Logically then, the highest possible hand value in Baccarat is 9.
In the game, a "Baccarat" refers to anything with a value of zero; in a hand of K, 4 and 6, the King is a "baccarat," and the hand value is also "baccarat."

Casinos generally pay out 0.95:1 on banker wins, and 1:1 on player wins.
Tie wins payouts can vary from house to house but generally payout of 11:1 or 8:1.
You get the initial bet back plus a multiplier of the pay out ratio...
a win with a wager of ten credits on tie with a pay out of 8:1 would return 90 credits, the initial bet of 10 plus 8 times the wager (80). ie 10 + 80 = 90.
An initial outlay on banker, player and tie would be a 10 credits each for 30 credits and thus the net gain would be 60 credits.

Banker pair and player pair betting positions added in version 1.0.1.

History

There is a small "history" display at the bottom, if there is a streak of say 3 banker wins in a row then the history will have 3 "B"s in the graph, the graph scrolls off the left edge.
The result will be one of three possible outcomes:
  • "B" -- Banker wins.
  • "P" -- Player wins.
  • "T" -- Tie wins.
